Position: Electrical Assembler Salary Grade: 4

Primary Purpose: Build and repair electrical panels, systems, and components for industrial machinery and equipment following schematics, blueprints, and electrical code, for departments at Oak Press Solutions.

· Solve issues through general instructions with some variations in sequence.

Responsibilities: Quantifiable metrics to which a person is held accountable

  • Correctly and with a quality focus wire electrical panels following schematics and blueprints.
  • Correctly install power supply wiring and conduit for machines following manuals, schematics, and blueprints using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Accurately and safely connect power supply wires and cables to and between machines and equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and other electrical components using test equipment, and bring to an effective workable solution.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and circuit boards, rewire motors as needed, and ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Adjust and inspect machines to ensure functionality and structural and cosmetic compliance before shipping.


Skills: Essential qualifications and functions gained through training and experience

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to receive forklift license and learn to operate cranes and man-lifts.

· Must have math skills and ability to utilize various measurement tools.

· Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.

· Ability to remain calm and determined to attain goals.

· High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

· Documentation of a current drug screen must be provided prior to start date.
