Overview

Starting pay for this position is $17.60/hour.

3rd shift additional $2.25/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY:

An EEG Technician works collectively with the Medical Director, Manager, staff, and patients to achieve optimal EEG testing. An EEG technician develops competency in and performs the basics of electroencephalography procedures and associated interventions under the direct supervision of an EEG Technologist.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Commitment Expectations:
  • Technician must enroll in accredited Electro neuro diagnostic program or approved CAAHEP program within 12 months of date of hire or be approved for an ABRET pathway at time of hire
  • Technician then has 12 months post enrollment to complete Electro neuro diagnostic program successfully.
License/Certification:
  • Active CPR certification through the American Heart Association (may be obtained during orientation)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certification:
  • Current enrollment or completion of an accredited Electro neuro-diagnostic Program
Experience:
  • 6 months of direct patient care
Skills:
  • Knowledge of the principals of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
