Job Type Full-timeDescriptionEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to the experience and education that are required by Federal, State, and local guidelines. The minimum requirements for experience and education are:Education equivalent to graduation from High SchoolMedical terminology Medical SchedulingAbility to provide two current acceptable and verifiable professional references REQUIREMENTS :Must be able to work a full-time flexible scheduleMust be able to pass all pre-employment screening (background check, drug tests, and references)To comply with organizational behavioral standardsMeet attendance requirementsMust attend basic, intermediate, and advanced orientations prior to independently working in medical reception RESPONSIBILITIES: •Receives and performs related assignments from the PM or designee •Answers phone system •Schedules surgical appointments •Notify patient if they are subject to deductible payment •Process pathology •Operates out of two different computer systems •Prepares surgical charts •Routinely maintains •Verifies provider schedules •Confirms patient appointments •Maintains confidentiality in all matters related to the patient and the organization •Maintains personal composure and integrity under stressful conditions QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge: •Policies and procedures of medical procedures •Familiar with medical terminology •Laws mandating patient information confidentiality Skills: •Basic computers knowledge •Exhibiting excellent telephone and interpersonal skills •Excellent Customer Service •Remaining calm with patients and other parties under stressful conditions •Work Independently as well as being a team player Essential Job Functions: •Communicate on a professional level in both written and verbal formats •Process required paper work accurately and on time •Perform multiple tasks in a timely manner •Perform efficiently in a high pressure setting •Deal effectively and professionally with patients on a routine basis •Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers •Follow written and verbal directions from PM •Identify and solve routine problems encountered in the SC area •Meet deadlines and remain on timelines •Answer basic procedure and biopsy questions •Maintain communication with provider regarding case load Salary Description $16.00 - $22.00
