Sr. Hyperion Developer
Work Location: Remote

Job Summary
Hyperion Developers are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Hyperion solutions. They will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include: gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models. Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications and will participate in evaluating, conducting performance testing, and all planned and unplanned maintenance for both internally developed applications and purchased products. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs and interact and sometimes direct third party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives. Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.

Job Requirements:
  • Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures

  • Proficiency programming in Oracle
  • Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
  • Experience in setting up, opening, and closing business processes with Hyperion tools
  • Understanding of corporate business processes, including fundamental Finance concepts as well as forecasting and budgeting cycles, and corporate reporting requirements
  • Experience in creating and maintaining financial reports
  • Ability to perform ad hoc and routine financial close tasks
  • Experience in ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to provide documentation, training and support to end users
  • Understanding of best practices for business processes and technology
  • Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills
  • Understanding of business intelligence concepts
  • Experience building and maintaining dimension hierarchies in Data Relationship Management (DRM) and knowledge of Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS) mappings
  • Experience creating and modifying Workflow models and tasks in Data Relationship Governance (DRG) and EDMCS
  • Experience working in Essbase Administrator Services (EAS) and maintaining Essbase applications/databases (Block Storage (BSO) and Aggregate Storage (ASO)) using: Calculation Scripts, Reports scripts, Load Rules, Substitution Variables, Global Variables, MaxL and MDX scripts
  • Experience building and maintaining EPM metadata integrations to Planning and ASO applications and data integrations to Planning, ASO, Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management (HPCM) applications via Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Experience creating and maintaining Financial Data Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) integration mappings (including complex SQL statements), rules, batches and Jython scripting
  • Experience creating and maintaining REST API scripts for Planning and HPCM
  • Experience creating and maintain Planning objects (Business Rules, Web Forms, Member formulas, Menus, Smart Lists, Work Flow/Approval Process, Task Lists)
  • Experience maintaining EPM security within Shared Services
  • Experience migrating EPM applications via the Life Cycle Management process (LCM)
  • Experienced developing new data marts in Oracle database for Basis Data process
  • Experienced with Power BI reporting
  • Involved in at least one Hyperion Upgrade

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5-8 years of Hyperion development/programming/coding professional work experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Financial or relevant work experience
  • Relevant Development certifications
