Key Responsibilities:
- CT Imaging: Perform CT scans on patients using advanced imaging equipment and technology to produce high-resolution images of the designated area for diagnostic purposes.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CT equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely. Report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, yourself, and other healthcare staff.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of all CT scans performed, including patient information, imaging parameters, and any special instructions.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor image quality and make necessary adjustments to optimize image clarity. Identify and report any image artifacts or issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging results meet diagnostic requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and infection control protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- CPR certification (if required).
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
