We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Tech to join our surgical services team. As a member of this team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of patients and physicians alike. Your responsibilities will include maintaining sterile fields and equipment, preparing surgical instruments for use, and responding to both planned and emergency surgical events.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited or US Armed Forces Surgical Technologists school and/or program or employed as a Surgical Technologist at a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013
  • At least one year operating room scrub experience (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing and verbal)
  • Must obtain Surgical Technician Certification within 12 months of graduation date (required)
  • Current Surgical Technician Certification upon hire (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support certification required

Note: Surgical Technologists that were employed as Surgical Technologists in a surgical facility prior to July 1, 2013 are exempted from the certification requirement, as allowed by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

Other Requirements:

  • Participates in on-call rotation as assigned
  • May be required to stay beyond shift based on patient and/or department needs
