FTE: 0.9, Shift: Days, Schedule: 12's 0645-1915 every other weekend, call and holiday requirements. URGENTLY HIRING $13,000 Retention Bonus with 12-month commitment

Position Summary

The RN completes individualized patient assessments; develops a care plan based on

assessment/history findings; delivers patient-centered care that is culturally appropriate; evaluates a

patient's response to care and revises as needed. The RN is accountable to deliver care as well as to

oversee and delegate to other personnel (clinical & non-clinical) in delivering/supporting the delivery of

care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collects and analyzes pertinent objective and subjective data related to the health status of the

patient/client, including biological, psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and age-specific

determinates of health.

  1. Plans, implements, and documents plan of care involving family, demonstrating respect for patient

rights. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality; is compliant with HIPAA.

  1. Advocates for patient/family.

  2. Honors, respects patient/family cultural beliefs and incorporates into plan of care.

  3. Communicates plan of care to members of the healthcare team.

  4. Delegates selected nursing functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials and

demonstrated competence.

  1. Evaluates and revises plan of care to address physician/clinical issues.

  2. Identifies care concerns and communicates with appropriate individuals or departments to ensure

resolution.

  1. Knows responsibility/role during all Emergency Codes and Red Rules.

  2. Maintains current clinical knowledge and volunteers to share/present information to staff.

  3. Maintains competency on all computer systems/software utilized for completion of role

responsibilities.

  1. Initiates/participates in performance improvement activities.

  2. Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care.

  3. Demonstrates Memorial's expectation for customer service.

  4. Demonstrates inter/intradepartmental teamwork.

  5. Demonstrates flexibility within the RN role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Experience: Previous acute care nursing experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Washington State (DOH) Registered Nurse licensure required.

American Heart Association BLS required until certified in ACLS. ACLS required within one year of hire (if applicable).
