Pipe Utility Foreman

Summary

As a Pipe Utility Foreman, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility piping systems (water, sewer, and storm drains). You will lead a team of pipe utility workers, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of pipe utility crew members, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols

- Plan and schedule pipe utility activities, including material procurement, equipment deployment, and manpower allocation, to meet project deadlines and objectives

- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and prevent accidents

- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of water, sewer, and storm drain systems, including pipe laying, trenching, backfilling, and compaction

- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily progress reports, work orders, and material usage logs

Job Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in pipe utility construction (installation and maintenance)

- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders

- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
