OR Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate OR Registered Nurse to join our team. As an OR Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Your primary responsibilities will include providing direct patient care, assessing patients' needs, administering medications, and communicating with other team members regarding patients. In addition, you will play a key role in educating patients and their families and managing the patient's stay in the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree from an NLN-accredited school of nursing, current Registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Provide and document competent nursing care based on scientific principles and using the nursing process
  • Assess patients' needs, plans care and coordinates appropriate assignments for team members
  • Administer medications according to nursing/hospital/unit policy/procedure without errors
  • Participate in the development of educational materials/presentations for patients and/or significant others and documents outcome in the medical record
  • Work with team members to monitor patient satisfaction and develop appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with team members to plan for improvements regarding patient care
  • Monitor LOS for observation patients and collaborate with nurse coordinators and case managers to ensure appropriate stay
  • Discharge planning begins day one for all patients. Family members are included in this process.
  • All patients returning home receive a written discharge instruction plan prior to discharge 100% of the time
