Summary
This individual is responsible for efficient functioning of the monitoring area of the ADC. This individual is responsible for maintaining efficient and timely turnaround time for ambulatory EKG and 12 lead EKGs reports. Responsible for scanning, interpretation, and transcription of ambulatory EKG recordings. Responsible for assisting the transcription and final reporting of cardiac event recordings. Responsible for working collaboratively with management and coworkers to provide excellent service to our patients. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, significant others and all healthcare team members.
Education
High School graduate or equivalent GED.
Licensure/Certification
Background in medical assisting or EKG technician preferred. CPR certification required or must be willing to obtain within 30 days.
Experience
Must have 1-2 years' experience in medical setting preferably with a cardiology background. Experience with cardiac rhythms preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must exhibit proficiency with computers including skills with electronic medical records.
