Take ownership of your career todayPosition Title: Cast Technician Shifts Available: 1st Shift (M-Th 6am-4:30pm) and 2nd Shift (M-Th 4:30pm-3:00am)Wage Range: $22.50-$31 DOQPosition SummaryAssemble and prepare casting to specifications, set up sample and production molds, troubleshoot and correct process problems at the machine, inspect sample parts for accuracy, and stage for secondary or shipment.Responsibilities/Duties/TasksCalculate dimensions and tolerances.Measure, examine, and test completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications..Assembling and preparing casting dies/tooling for production.Make and maintaining complete setups on assigned Die Cast machines and associated equipment.Maintain high quality of parts produced using established inspection methods and gaugingPerform daily preventative maintenance on machinery and die cast tooling as directedMaintain all process control adjustments on die cast machinery with minimal assistanceAssist in training new employees in all phases of operations.Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others.All other duties as assigned.CompetenciesAdaptability & Flexibility ~ Definition: Ability to learn and properly apply new job-related information in a timely manner. Education and ExperienceRequire training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
