The employee may work as part of an area-wide task force with multiple discipline and organization members. The employee completes investigative reports related to the investigations and prepares and presents education programs. The employee ensures equipment and uniforms are maintained. Employee also performs other law enforcement duties as assigned. Independent judgment, initiative, and understanding must be exercised in interpreting orders, rules, and regulations in conducting investigations. Work is usually performed in accordance with well-defined procedures.
