Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Dillon, CO Duration: 13 Weeks Day Shift: (4X10)

Job Description:

A mammography technologist, often referred to as a mammographer, plays a crucial role in the early detection of breast cancer. Perform mammographic examinations on patients, following established protocols and procedures. Position patients appropriately and ensure their comfort and safety during the procedure. Operate mammography equipment to obtain high-quality images of the breast tissue. Ensure proper image exposure and positioning to assist radiologists in interpreting results accurately. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Assist in the maintenance and calibration of mammography equipment. Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and accurate diagnosis. Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development activities.

Education:

3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist required.

Licenses/ Certifications:

BLS – AHA American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) certification required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Breast Sonography (BS) certification. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with Breast (BR) certification required. Documentation of Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists : required. Documentation of Digital Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists regulation: required. Documentation of Tomosynthesis Mammography training as per Radiologic Technologists regulation : required.
