Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Hair Stylist to join our team on a contracted basis. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for providing professional hair care services to our residents in the comfort of our facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide haircuts, styling, coloring, and other hair care services to residents in accordance with their preferences and needs.
• Offer scalp treatments, hair conditioning treatments, and other specialized services as requested.
• Maintain a clean and organized salon area, including sterilizing equipment.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during hair care treatments, including those with mobility challenges or medical conditions.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff to schedule appointments and coordinate services.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid cosmetology or hairstylist license in the state of IL.
• Previous experience working as a hairstylist, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to enhance the well-being of others.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• Knowledge of basic hair care techniques and trends.
• CPR certification (preferred but not required).
