Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Electronics Technician who will be responsible for the meticulous repair of digital and analog electronic assemblies down to the component level. Additionally, the role involves repairing electromechanical devices. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex digital and analog circuits, adhering to established quality processes and standards.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware across a diverse range of sensors, circuit boards, and equipment spanning various vintages.
  • Utilize standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies to test electronic units.
  • Proficiently solder and de-solder components on products, including both through-hole and surface mount technology.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of components required for assigned product repairs.
  • Perform final testing and quality assurance procedures before products are dispatched for shipping.
  • Meet or exceed production goals and deadlines while ensuring the highest standards of quality.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in the electronics industry will also be considered.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic circuitry and components.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Innate ability and passion for troubleshooting, debugging, tinkering, and prototyping.
  • Proficiency in repairing and replacing electronic components, including diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and others.
  • Ability to troubleshoot circuits to the component level.
  • Comfortable working with high-voltage or high-current systems, including three-phase applications.
  • Strong soldering and de-soldering skills in both surface mount and through-hole technologies.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, test procedures, and manuals.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to use a Windows-based PC and basic programs.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a decision-making environment with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, IoT devices, and programming languages.
  • Reverse engineering skills.
  • Ability to design and construct test fixtures or circuits.
  • Capability to develop or enhance test procedures and work instructions.
