The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is logical assignment of the position.Follow the laboratory procedure for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.Maintain records that demonstrate the proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.Adhere to the laboratory quality control policies; document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.Follow established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problem or immediately notify the Laboratory Director.Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.All other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Director.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Training: Must possess an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology and be licensed in the State of Louisiana.Work Experience: At least two years of experience required.OSHA EXPOSURE CATEGORY: A Have exposure to blood borne pathogens.
