O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS), an ONeal Industries affiliate company, is a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies. Iowa Laser has been using lasers to cut parts in the Cedar Valley since 1978. We became part of ONeal Manufacturing Services in 2012. We operate Trumpf fiber lasers to cut flat parts out of steel, we use Press Brakes that range from 40-230 ton to form parts into different shapes, we operate Machining Centers, a Tube Laser, and have a full MIG Welding Department. Our Materials Department moves 8x12 sheets of steel as well as moving product from station to station using forktrucks. These parts all flow into our Logistics Department where they hustle all day to package and ship parts out through UPS, FedEx and freight to our customers.

**Minimum Starting Wage: $15.00/hr.**

**1st Shift Hours**

* Monday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Friday 5:00am to 3:30pm

* Overtime would be 5:00am to 3:30pm (Monday through Friday)

* Overtime is posted the previous Wednesday

* We are an air conditioned facility.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

* Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.

* Operate a sit down forktruck - valid Drivers License is required.

* Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following prints.

* Read work order, follow verbal instructions, check print specifications to perform necessary process on parts.

* Load/unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand, forktruck or hoist.

* Remove burrs from parts as required using various deburring tools.

* Count, weigh and record number of parts processed.

* Use computer software to record information and print identifying tag or labels to materials, mark information on boxes, pallets or other containers.

* Inspect work for conformity to specifications.

* Stacks or assembles product into bundles and bands together.

* Examines product for defects.

* Cleans and organizes work area.

* Other duties as assigned.

** Skills/Qualifications**

* Ability to operate forklift and cranes.

* Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.

* Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder and bander.

* Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper and micrometer.

* Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

* Ability to convert metric to English.

* Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

* Capable of setting up and operating one or more processing machines.

* Speak, write and comprehend conversational English.

* Strong attention to detail.

* High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

* Valid drivers license may be required.
