Position CarpenterReq Code CAR0315Location US-OH-MASONPrimary Responsibilities JOB SUMMARYThis position reviews specifications on blueprints, to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.Responsibilities include:* Measuring and cutting materials to the correct size* Working with various types of materials* Using hand tools, machines and power saws accurately* Assembles materials together to make products* Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge* Shape or cuts materials, such as plywood, drywall, various interior panels, exterior aggregate, vinyl, cedar siding, insulation, tiles, etc. to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power saw* Assembles and fastens materials to make framework, using hand tools, screws, nails, glue etc.* Installs components, such as windows, frames, insulation, rain hoods, trim, floor tiles, etc. using carpenter hand and power tools* Reviews specifications on blueprints, to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required* Loads and moves materials to area, using hand truck or dolly* Additional items as assigned by managerPRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANYThis position interacts with production managers, carpentry assemblers and other shop personnel.COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS* Follows instructions completely and accurately and works independently* Foresees potential problems, scheduling or technical, before they happen and acts accordingly* Transfers information from one situation to prevent or solve problems* Assumes responsibility for safety practices* Prevents problems and accidents from recurring by assessing causes of problem or accidents* Careful in use of material, does not waste materials* Able to use basic hand tools and power tools* May operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner* All Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being:o Customer-Focusedo Passionate about Worko Solution-Orientedo Driven by Integrity
