ASSA ABLOY Fenestration LLC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our rapidly growing team located in Reno, Nevada. Our company specializes in designing innovative and customized hardware solutions for the residential window and door market in North America. Our product line includes advanced systems for window and door applications and includes a full line of European hardware solutions.

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk role is an excellent opportunity to join our growing company and to personally develop within an international operating environment.

Role Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the administrative support needed to ensure efficient operations within the Reno, Nevada warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing available shipments in the ERP system, batching and printing of daily picklist for the shipping team to pick and pack

Quoting freight for shipments using simple online tools

Processing shipments in XCarrier our Transportation Management System

Scheduling of carriers and assisting with shipping and delivery of shipments

Entering information into 3PL (third-party logistics) portals for 3PL customer shipment request

Providing proof of delivery to the Customer Service and Accounting teams

Primary contact for customer service and warehouse staff for questions on shipments and stock

Following up on shipment errors and damages

Batching and filing of daily picklist and shipping documents

Preferred Requirements:

Knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sound knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to create reports and presentations

Experience working with an ERP and TMS systems

Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize

Capable of following oral and written instructions

Ability to work autonomously and adapt and learn quickly

Capable of communicating frequently with multiple departments in a professional manner

Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred

Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects to meet deadlines
