Wound Care RN

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a Skilled Nursing Home in the Brooklyn, NY area that is seeking an experienced and caring Wound Care RN for direct hire. The Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and documenting skin and wound conditions and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols. Additionally, the RN must be able to assist in the training of the nursing staff. The successful candidate will have great communication skills to interact with physicians, families, and nursing staff. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.The company is very well-established, secure, and very supportive of the staff. A competitive salary, full benefits package, 401k, and other perks are offered.Some Responsibilities:Assessing skin and wound conditionsDeveloping plans of careImplementing orders and treatmentsEvaluating the progress of specialized skin and wound conditionsEvaluate new admissionsDocument status and care plansNotify physician and family of changesProvide Wound Care education to nursing staffRequirements:•Current NY State RN license•2+ years' experience in the care and treatment of wounds•In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments•Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds•Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes •Excellent communication skills•Ability to be self-directed on tasks and collaborative with Nursing teams
