Job Summary

Performs accurate and efficient register transactions and assists with receiving, stocking, and display of grocery products, maintains department cleanliness, and provides customer service.

Concord Food Co-op is a natural foods grocery store, bakery, and caf with locations in Concord, NH and New London, NH. A pillar of Main St., the Co-op strives to support and enhance the New Hampshire community by only stocking ethically-sourced natural foods and through positive cooperative action in-store and in the community.

Essential Job Duties

  • Accept payment and accurately make change for transactions utilizing the POS system
  • Ability to enter correct prices, departments, and PLUs for products
  • Ability to balance cash draw at end of shift and meet over/short goal
  • Invites/recruits non-member customers to become members of the Co-op
  • Follow state laws and Co-op policies regarding the sale of alcohol
  • Assisting customers with product questions in a friendly, courteous manner and answers/directs calls as necessary
  • Facing and organizing shelves, end caps, and sale displays
  • Keeping departmental shelves and display areas stocked, neat, clean, and product(s) rotated
  • Always presenting self and Co-op in a professional manner
Additional Duties
  • Assists in special projects, assists in other departments as needed, and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills
  • Willing to learn or improve on current skills
Essential Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods, bending, walking, reaching, and sitting
  • Ability to climb up and down stepladders and stairs daily
  • Able to lift and carry up 50 lbs as needed throughout the day


Experience and Educational Requirements

There are no educational requirements, though grocery or natural foods experience is a plus. Must be 18 years of age.
