iOS specific Software Engineer Job Description & Qualifications : Team Description This department focuses on software development for Enterprise Connectivity(EC) group, which is a key strategic enterprise effort. EC is at the heart of Ford's transformation from a wholesale auto retail company into a consumer mobility company enabling a broader consumer experience. The EC Mobile App will be a key enabler for Ford Motor Company to support the needs and expectations of consumers both today and tomorrow. The connected vehicle product teams work on connected features such as Command and Control, Phone As A Key, connected accessories and other retail and Commercial vehicle functions. Responsibilities ? Function as a senior iOS/Android engineer on a connected vehicle product team in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment by enforcing sound development practices and ensuring the quality delivery of enterprise mobile solutions, utilizing test-driven development and automated testing ? Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, UI/UX designers and external teams to design, build and extend application features and provide solutions to optimize performance, scalability, security protocols, analytics integration ? Drive project architecture to scale large mobile applications and enabling team efficiency Onboard and mentor new software engineers, review code and enforce coding standards Basic Qualifications
Skills Required:
Experience with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxSwift) ? Experience with DevOps concepts and CI/CD best practices ? Experience with large, modular project architecture and codebases ? Experience in multiple platforms (Java or .net or kotlin or API development) ? Experience in mobile app development either Android or iOS
Skills Preferred:
Preferred Qualifications Passionate software craftsperson Experience with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxSwift) Experience with large, modular project architecture and codebases Experience with Bluetooth Experience with Cryptography
Experience Required:
5+ years' experience in software 5+ years' experience in software engineering 3+ years' experience developing iOS/Android apps Strong interpersonal skills
Experience Preferred:
Experience with Bluetooth and Cryptography is a plus
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
