Come join our fabulous and fast-growing Inova Loudoun team as an EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST PRN. This is a full-time position on a hard-working team who supports our patients and our mission each and every day The Exercise Physiologist 1 works on a multidisciplinary team to care for patients and develop comprehensive care plans of agreed upon goals. To achieve the optimal health status for patients this role administers or supports diagnostics testing to support diagnosis and treatment plans and participates in a community effort to support chronic disease management. May include evaluating patient responses to prescribed treatment plans, testing and procedures and develop ongoing plans.

May include evaluating patient responses to prescribed treatment plans, testing and procedures and develop ongoing plans.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
  • Reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
  • Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient.
  • Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
  • Supports additional projects and duties as assigned.



Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology.

BLS within 6 months of start date. Must be from the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire.
