The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
  • Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
  • Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
  • Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
  • Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ Year of Experience - Required
  • Ready to start ASAP - Required
  • Completion of 1 travel assignment - Required
  • Paragon EMR Experience - Highly Preferred
  • ACLS - Preferred

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BLS

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Michigan
  • Active at Time of Submission

The facility is a 288-bed acute care hospital located in Mount Clemens, Mich. More than 400 physicians and nearly 2,000 employees work at the facility making it one of Macomb Countys top employers. The facility provides a full range of services, including cancer and cardiovascular care. As Macomb Countys first verified trauma center, the hospital operates the busiest emergency department in Macomb County and is also an accredited chest pain center. Effective 2/28/24, the facility has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor
