Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits (insurance, 401k, paid sick and time off, etc.)Loan forgiveness eligibilityResponsibilitiesProvide support, individual, group and/or family therapy for MBH patients and families, as needed.Assist in developing treatment-planning goals/objectives with patients, families and treatment team members.Responsible for youth intake, assessment of youth, development and completion of intake documentation (psychosocial); assist with case management of patients.Provide crisis intervention as needed.Disseminate agency and program information to social service agencies, churches, childcare institutions, etc. as needed.Responsible for ensuring that all documentation on patients is current and complete (i.e., psychosocial, treatment plans, updates, discharge documents, & other documents as designated).Serve as a liaison for patients with other social service agencies.Coordinate appropriate referrals as needed.Provide ongoing assessment and treatment planning consultation.Assist patients with appropriate discharge planning.Provide client/family follow-up care as needed.Assist with pre-service and/or in-service training in areas of expertise as needed.Assist in preparation for, and help maintain compliance with Licensing, Medicaid and Joint Commission standards.Keeps detailed and accurate documentation of all pertinent client information.Attend regular treatment team staff meetings and provide pertinent input regarding client concerns, progress, etc.Responsibility assumed for continuing educational and professional development and contributions made to the professional growth of others.Documentation of continuing education, etc., will be provided to the human resource department and copies kept in the employee's record.May be responsible at times for covering duties of other therapists and/or case managers as assigned in their absence.Cover weekends and evenings as needed.The individual employed in this position may accept other reasonable assignments, which may be necessary for efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.Note: This position will be evaluated by the Director of Clinical Services, the Hospital Administrator and/or the MFH Executive Committee at least every two years.QualificationsMaster's Degree in applicable field.Must hold valid License as a LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LPE.Ability to document accurately and professionally.Ability to understand and implement extensive training and to apply that training to the implementation of a comprehensive program of care for patients.Ability to perform physical demands required by Crisis Prevention Intervention.Ability as a self-motivator and the aptitude to work in a high stress fast paced position with minimal supervision.Must remain current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training and CPR/FA.Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties.Experience working with "at-risk" youth or other populations with special needs preferred.Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions. Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time.Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items.Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health.Flu vaccinations are mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).Job descriptions are not intended, nor should be construed, to be all-inclusive lists of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with a job.
