Alaris Health at Cedar Grove - Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, in Cedar Grove, NJ, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for their 60-bed behavioral unit. Under the supervision of the RN Behavioral Health Program Coordinator, the RN utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met.** SIGN-ON BONUS** RATE: starting at $40/hr + benefits listed below (rate based on experience)RN Behavioral Unit Responsibilities:Takes an active role in direct resident assessment and care;Supervises and coordinates nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to State and Federal regulations;Formulates individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing process;Assesses each resident daily and implements a change in the course of action as needed;Assists the physician on rounds and ensures that pertinent information is communicated to and from him/her and orders are taken correctly;Participates in the training and supervision of nursing personnel.Schedule:FT - Monday through Friday (8 hr shifts)PT and per diem positions also availableRN Requirements:Training and certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention and the ability to demonstrate advanced behavioral techniques.Experience in working with complex and/or severe behavioral residents and applying therapeutic techniques to deescalate the resident (Preferred).Experience in leading various educational and therapeutic program topics related to, but not limited to ADL care, hygiene, social skills, coping skills, anger management (Preferred).Ability to recognize escalating aggressive behaviors and providing calm redirection to a controlled, safe environment.Knowledge of behavioral interventions and applied behavioral analysis.Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques related to residents experiencing behavioral difficulties.Minimum experience working with behavioral residents preferred: 3 years.This position requires a current Registered Nurse graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds a current, active Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of NJ.Benefits :PTOHealth and Dental insurance401kReferral bonusesSign-on bonusTuition Reimbursement#J-18808-Ljbffr
