A Neurosurgery position one block from the beach

APPs - keep your skills sharp in an ACS verified Level II trauma center in Corpus Christi, TX. Join our fully supported SAMGI NeuroTrauma program in this newly built, state of the art hospital that is recognized for excellence in stroke and trauma care. Be part of the team caring for critically injured trauma patients requiring specialty Neurosurgical care.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital - Shoreline in Corpus Christi, TX

Your Practice
•Acute Neurosurgery practice in a Level II center that sees approx. 2200 trauma patients annually
•Assist two full-time neurosurgeons with inpatient rounding, ER consults, and outpatient follow-up
•Assess patients through history and physical exams, order and evaluate test and imaging results, and develop treatment plan in consultation with surgeon-led team
•Learn to manage intracranial pressure monitors, extraventricular drains, lumbar drains, shunts and complex spinal injuries
•Rounding at one hospital site and clinic located across the street

•No billing or coding - you take care of patients, our operations team takes care of the paperwork
•Malpractice and tail coverage provided, and no non-compete clause

Requirements
•Degree from an accredited PA or NP program
•If PA, must have a certification through NCCPA
•If NP, must be certified through AANP or ANCC and Neuro Emergency Certification is preferred
•One year or more of neuro, ortho spine, trauma, or critical care experience preferred
