Dover, NJ, USA Req #100 Wednesday, March 10, 2021 **Under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer , the HIV-experienced dietician is responsible for conducting nutrition evaluations on referred patients, establishing treatment plans and goals, identifying barriers and working collaborative with providers, Care Team members and the patient and family to identify and adopt achievable self-management goals. The dietician has access to the patients medical record in order to coordinate care plans and treatment goals.**

**Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities**

* Conducting routine screening to identify and treat nutritional problems

* Preparing a tailored nutritional plan to optimize patients' nutritional status, immune status, and overall well-being

* Screening and developing interventions for growth problems in children

* Adapting dietary recommendations to help reduce the risk of co morbid conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, or treating these complications

* Educating patients about how to modify their dietary habits to maximize the effectiveness of medical and pharmacologic treatments

* Participates in quality improvement of the program in conjunction with other services offered

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

* ***Bilingual Spanish/English*** with excellent oral skills in both. English written communications skills required.

* Basic computer skills required

**Education, Training and Experience**

* Prior chronic disease, HIV/AIDS and/or maternity nutrition counseling needed

* Bachelors degree in Nutrition or related field required.

* Must have R.D. registration and be eligible for NJ State Certification.

* Certified as a Diabetes Educator helpful

**Job Type**: Part-time
