We're looking for a reliable medical assistant to work directly with our healthcare staff and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You'll assist with examinations and assist with all pre/post clinical workup and data entry and assist our providers with patient history and scribe while our providers see patients. Responsibilities
•Pre/Post examination work up data and assist with document creation.Communicate with our providers all documented pre-examination history.
•Scribe while our providers examine patients.
•Assist with the communication of data for our providers to complete medical notes.
•Some On-Call duties.
•Other tasks as needed.
•Speak with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with the healthcare staff
•Complete the patient's insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions
•Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office
Qualifications
•Should have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
•Able to use a computer to complete administrative tasks
•Completed an accredited medical assisting program and an externship in a supervised healthcare setting
•Great communication and customer service skills
•At least 1 year of previous experience as a medical assistant performing administrative duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment
