• Number of ED beds: 46
• EMR system: Epic

Need assessment
• How many APC positions are open? 1-2
• How many shifts per month are expected to be covered by locums (specify days and nights)? 25
• Is the locums need is short-term (2-6 months) or long-term (6+ months)? Short term
• Is your need specific to days, nights, swing shifts, or flexible? flexible
• Consider candidates that only want weekends? yes
Program details
• Shift Times: 6a-6p; 9a-9p; 6p-6a
• How many MDs/APCs during the day? 4/2
• How many MDs/APCs during the night? 1/1

Clinical details
• Who responds to codes, EM or HM? not the APCs
• What procedures are required of APCs? Basic EM suture/I&D, can do more if trained but not required
• Is the provider practicing alone or alongside a physician? With physician
• Does the APC need to be Acute Care Certified? No. Must have ED experience
• What is the total census per provider during the day, including admissions? 145 avg
