Job Overview:The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for obtaining standard and complex recordings, as well as special procedures, EEG recording and advanced testing procedures.Qualifications:Required:* High school diploma or equivalent* Successful completion of site personnel general orientation* Successful completion of department specific orientation* Successful completion of all required orientation programs* BLS Certification through American Heart Association* Minimum of 1 year of neurodiagnostic experience* EEG Tech Certification required within 1 year of hireScheduling Requirements:* The schedule varies based on the needs of the department* Per Diem schedulingEssential Functions:* Responsible for obtaining standard and complex recordings, as well as special procedures: EEG recording and advanced testing procedures* Ability to be on-call for EEG and LTM patients* Able to do all inpatient, outpatient and portable EEG testing* Able to hook up/ clean up and take call for Long Term Video Monitoring testing* Selects predetermined electrode combinations as necessary by the history of each individual patient* Applies suitable electrodes as needed per study utilizing the 10/20 International Electrode Placement SystemChoosing RWJBarnabas HealthRWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
