ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor control systems. Ability to troubleshoot 240/480 3 phase motor wiring. Be able to wire up single phase and 3 phase motors. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems throughout the plant and facility.Track down electrical shorts and make repair. Ability to use multimeters and megger to analyze problem.Diagnoses electrical problems by attaching computer to PLC. Be able to read ladder logic to troubleshoot I/O. Installs wiring according to electrical code and hooks up new equipment, lighting, etc.Troubleshoots diagnoses, adjusts, calibrates and repairs electronic weight scales.Identifies problem areas and develops and installs modifications to improve efficiency.Performs minor fabricating which may require some welding.Orders parts and maintains documentations on electrical systems.Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.Have working knowledge of AC/ DC drives for motors on conveyors, belts, pumps and other equipment.Maintains knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP and Sanitation rules and regulation, and company policies.Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.All other duties, as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
