A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with a strong interest in employment litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility for, or current licensure to practice law in California is required. Preferably, candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work.
Duties:
Handle employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
Provide legal advice and counseling to clients on employment-related matters, including hiring practices, employee discipline, and termination.
Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
Assist in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, union campaigns, and labor arbitrations.
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work (preferred).
Strong interest in employment litigation.
Excellent academic credentials and references.
Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Current licensure to practice law in California or eligibility to become licensed.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Licensure to practice law in California or eligibility to become licensed.
Skills:
Proficiency in employment law and litigation procedures.
Strong legal research and writing abilities.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
