Our X-Ray Technologists play an important part in the daily operation of our clinics. This role partners with other clinical staff and administrative team members to ensure our patients receive excellent care. Our X-Ray Technologists demonstrate a deeply rooted compassion for helping our patients and are committed to making sure our operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
•Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians
•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs
•Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
•Maintain a safe and clean working environment
•Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
•Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
•Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
•Willing to assist with other clinical duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
•High school diploma required
•Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
•ARRT certified
•State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required or eligible to obtain.
•Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
