Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Instrumentation and Controls technician, you will be responsible for repairing, developing prints, installing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial processes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing performance, improving reliability, and enhancing automation within our organization. Candidate needs to have a hands on, and process oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

1. System Design and Development:
  • Assist in the design and improvement of instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Review detailed engineering specifications, instrument datasheets, and control system architecture diagrams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate instrumentation and controls into overall plant designs or system upgrades.
  • Perform calibration simulations, modeling, and optimization to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2. Installation and Commissioning:
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and calibration of instrumentation devices and control panels.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans and procedures to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues or malfunctions.
  • Provide technical support during system startup and ensure smooth transition to operations.
3. Maintenance and Upgrades:
  • Review and implement preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, diagnostics, and performance evaluations to identify potential problems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and execute repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend system improvements and upgrades.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system specifications, drawings, manuals, and operating procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports, project progress updates, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in audits and inspections.
5. Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and share knowledge within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Mechatronics or Instrumentation Engineering (or a related field) or three to five years related experience.
  • 220-240 volt knowledge required
