Home base is Statesboro with occasional travel to Vidalia and/or Jesup. Job Responsibilities for the X-Ray Tech: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, focusing primarily on orthopedic cases, under the direction of the supervising physician or radiologist. Capture high-quality x-ray images of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, and soft tissues, to assist in the diagnosis of orthopedic conditions. Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, following established protocols and maintaining appropriate radiation safety measures. Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess patient needs, answer questions, and provide accurate information regarding imaging procedures. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of imaging findings and patient information. Adhere to established protocols and quality assurance standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic images. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly. Qualifications required of the X-Ray Tech: Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current state licensure as an X-Ray Technologist. Experience and specialization in orthopedic imaging is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic techniques related to the musculoskeletal system.
