We are looking for a self motivated, energetic **TRANSPORTATION COMPLIANCE & SAFETY SPECIALIST**, with a track record of unparalleled professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to join our team. The **TRANSPORTATION COMPLIANCE & SAFETY SPECIALIST**, will be responsible for the following:

**Primary responsibilities to include:**

* Performing DOT/new driver qualification checks

* Maintaining driver qualification & employment files

* Management of document expiry (CDL, Med cards, etc.); performing annual reviews (AVR, Clearinghouse)

* Drug & Alcohol testing & record compliance with FMCSA/DOT Clearinghouse

* Hours of Service record compliance & training

* Review of driver leasing companies shadow files and compliance

* Safety:

+ incident & accident record keeping and reporting

+ support with investigations

+ FMCSA and DOT Safety Standards knowledge and Compliance

* Support with driver training & orientation

* MCS 90 & MCS 150 and other compliance and filing

* Hazmat compliance

* ELD support

* Equipment maintenance record keeping

* Support IFTA reporting

* General reporting and KPI creation

* Continuous improvement initiatives

**Attributes/skill sets required:**

* Understanding of DOT HOS, CSA Initiatives, and DOT Safety/Compliance Regulations

* Experience with FMCSA preferred

* Experience with JJ Keller software preferred

* 1-3 years experience preferred

* Organized

* Detail oriented

* Good Communication skills

* Ability to maintain confidential information/files

* Ability to work unsupervised

* Ability to multi-task

* Ability to be resourceful and problem solve

* Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Co-Operation and Teamwork

* Positive Attitude
