Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Arise Autism Center is GROWING We are accepting resumes for Registered Behavioral Technicians in our Sanford clinic and in-home options.

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapists use their knowledge of behavioral methods

to help people living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, especially those with

autism spectrum disorders. ABA therapists employ a systematic approach to help those

they serve to develop better social and life skills.

Job duties:

Implement individualized programs for individuals with autism that are based on the principles of ABA to increase communication, daily living skills, social skills, and play skills.

Modify antecedents/triggers in the environment as well as consequences for behaviors to decrease problem behaviors while teaching appropriate alternative behaviors.

Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to manage inappropriate or problematic behaviors when the occur.

Consult with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to ensure the highest level of treatment integrity.

Facility communication between caregivers, behavior analysts, and co-workers.

Record electronic data on clients behaviors and progress on a continuous basis.

Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with clients, families, and coworkers to ensure a healthy & positive work culture.

Maintain and respect client confidentiality.

Arrive at a time that enables you to put away personal belongings, obtain electronic tablet and client material(s) and be ready and waiting for your clients schedule arrival.

At the end of each session, tidy and sanitize your individual work area.

At the end of your workday, wipe down/sanitize your session area to ensure a clean and healthy work environment for clients and other team members.

Job shadowing key activities and various observations for growth opportunities.

Other duties as assigned within the scope of the RBT position.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have reliable transportation to travel to homes if needed

Ability to pass a level 2 background screening

Desired:

Associates or bachelors degree in psychology, education, special education, or other human services related field.

Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.

Experience working with children.

Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis.

Registered with Medicaid or other insurances.
