GRH0579 - RN Psychiatric - Savannah, GA - 12 Weeks Contract

Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for an experienced Psychiatric RN to work for our contracted facility.

Shift information: 07 :00 PM - 07:00 AM

Responsibilities:
  • Gaging patients' psychiatric states.
  • Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
  • Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
  • Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
  • Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
  • Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
  • Recording patients' health journeys and reporting on notable alterations.
  • Conducting targeted psycho education, particularly within families.
  • Will be exposed to patients that may have COVID or work on units with COVID Patients.
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Must have current licensure as an RN
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes
  • Also have knowledge of age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training.
  • Also certified in CPI
  • Familiarity with cultural perceptions about psychiatric difficulties.
  • Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities.
  • Superb interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilience, immense empathy, and resolution.
