Responsible for overseeing the repair, maintenance, and inspection of all amusement rides and attractions, as well as developing and coaching staff to improve performance and efficiency at all levels.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years experience in related field with management experience.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for required and preventive maintenance of all rides and attractions.
  • Ensure compliance with ride manufacturer requirements and company policies with respect to maintenance and ensure all federal, state, local, industry, and company laws, codes, standards, procedures, and best practices are followed at all times.
  • Maintain positive relationships and thorough communication with all departments.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for downtime reduction and improved operational readiness of rides. Establish strategic direction for department to ensure most important tasks are completed first.
  • Assist in developing and implementing corporate safety procedures, coordinate divisional safety programs, and monitor training of new and existing technicians to ensure understanding of and commitment to safety responsibilities.
  • Be aware of and understand existing and new regulations and ensure requirements are followed. Advise management of any needed actions with respect to compliance in a timely manner.
  • Conduct P & L reviews, develop forecasts, and initiate necessary actions.
  • Provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of company's mission, strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop and coach staff to improve performance and efficiency at all levels.
  • Hire and train new staff and continual training of existing staff.
  • Maintain job and industry knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, analyzing professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and being an active participant in professional organizations.
  • Recognize and resolve departmental conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Routinely serve as person-in-charge of maintenance operations.
  • Contact manufacturers to order parts and obtain directions for manufacturer required repairs.
  • Perform additional duties and make decisions as requested by the Director of Maintenance.
