The HR Admin will provide administrative support for the Human resources and Accounting Department functions in compliance with Avion Hospitality and industry standards. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of HR related, accounting, administrative or management experience. College coursework in related fields or experience with hotel and employment law would be helpful.

Hours will be 9am-5pm or as necessary to ensure HR and accounting deadlines are met. Accounting closing work may require weekend availability.

Position will work a 20-30 hour work week.

Requirements

Must be able to to multi task and routinely be able to meet deadlines. Must be effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving employee and guest concerns. Must be able to work with and understand financial information, data and basic arithmetic functions.

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality attendance standards. Scheduling may need to adjust according to the needs of the hotel.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes compliance with the Avion Personal Appearance standards

Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality with HR data (employee information) and accounting business functions.

Approach all encounters with employees, guests in an attentive, friendly, and service oriented manner

Functions:

HR

Actively involved with the hiring process including job postings, screening, reference checks, and onboarding.

Assists the HRD with recruiting efforts which may include travelling to career fairs as directed.

Maintains, manages, and secure active and terminated employee Personnel and Confidential files

Performs payroll duties including posting, editing employee timesheets and bi-weekly payroll processing according to Avion payroll standards.

Assists the HRD with preparing and executing required brand/company trainings as well as new hire orientation.

Assist with benefit administration, answering employee questions, and assisting with benefit enrollment.

Actively involved with employee relations activities including employee recognition, special events, and the employee rally.

Perform other duties as requested by the HRD

ACCOUNTING

Assist the accounting department with data entry and scanning of invoices into the procurement system.

Perform vendor statement reconciliations.

Research payment status of invoices and respond to Accounts Payable inquiries.

Participate in month end inventories.

Perform other duties and requested by the Property Accountant

Salary Description

18.00 per hour
