Job DetailsJob LocationMcGivney Health Care Center - Carmel, INPosition TypeFull-Time/Part-TimeEducation LevelHigh SchoolSalary Range$15.00 HourlyDescriptionDietary Cooks are to prepare and serve palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals at proper temperatures and appropriate times and support properly sanitary techniques being utilized.Dietary Cook Performance Standards:Prepares and directs the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders.Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved.May carve and apportion food for serving and may assist in serving duties.Keeps a requested list of supplies weekly and anticipates ahead to avoid extra trips to the store.Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen when on duty, and shall be responsible for the care of all equipment.Performs cleaning duties in kitchen and food serve areas as scheduled, etc. as directed.Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishments as ordered by the Nursing Department.Ensures Dietary Department complies with established standard and personal hygiene and health standards for personnel.QualificationsCompleted High School diploma or GED certificateValid driver's license with reliable transportation Experience in long-term care or a related field is preferred.Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and required background checks Equal Opportunity Employer
