Training and Experience: Experience managing various job functions efficiently and effectively. This job requires a strong professional presence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Must be willing to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Job Knowledge: Proficient computer skills and organizational skills are required. Must be able to multi task. Good understanding of hospital and physician roles, relationships and service specialties is required but can be part of initial training.

Job Description:

The strategic goal of the provider services department is to recruit and expand the Unity Health provider network in the communities we serve. The provider liaison will ensure a positive onboarding process and help new providers build referral relationships.

Various job duties include:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new providers, providing support throughout the onboarding process.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new employed providers to include the coordination of initial paperwork for new hire data, hospital and payor credentialing and malpractice applications.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other hospital and clinic departments to ensure they have the necessary information to credential, train and prepare for new providers to begin practice by anticipated start dates.
  • Coordinate necessary onboarding appointments and training sessions with Human Resources, Associate Health and EMR teams.
  • Coordinate new provider marketing and continue to work with the marketing department to promote providers and service lines as needed.
  • Continue communication with new providers after their start date to lend additional support during their start up.
  • Introduce new providers to referring physicians to increase awareness and referrals to Unity Health services and specialists.
This role will also help with other aspects of physician recruitment when needed which may include:
  • Sourcing candidates.
  • Background Checks
  • Site Visits
