Registered Nurse

A Long Island nonprofit services agency is looking to add a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team at one of their residential facilities. About the Opportunity: Setting: Residential Facility - ICF Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 7:30am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm Patient Population: Adult ID/DD OPWDD Patient Volume: 20 person caseload EMR: Epic Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) will: Serve as medical Liaison for IDT team and ensure proper medical follow-up Asses injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care Develop written plans for each person; modify nursing plan, as necessary Maintain medical records for each individual Participate as appropriate in planning and implementation of training of personnel Ensure proper medical follow-up through an on-call system Ensure all medication is administered and stored, as necessary Prepare monthly Medical Administration Records Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing OPWDD background
