At the Helen F. Graham Cancer and Research Institute at ChristianaCare, our commitment to providing exceptional patient care at our state-of-the-art multidisciplinary cancer center begins with our team. Our dosimetry team works in close collaboration with our physicians, physicists, therapists, and each other to maximize our patient’s outcomes and experience. Team members have access to and are invited to participate in a variety of projects with members of the physician, physics, and therapy groups to take an active role in the development of the department. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree. Medical Dosimetrist certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
Five years working experience as a staff dosimetrist
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Knowledge of radiation physics.
Knowledge of clinical radiation therapy.
Knowledge of proper handling of radioactive materials for brachytherapy procedures.
Ability to work with computer treatment planning system for radiation therapy.
Ability to work at computer video terminal.
Skill in mathematics and problem solving involving the application of radiation physics.
Special requirements:
Medical Dosimetrist certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board
