Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure that the Zamboni is in good working order and that the ice is ready for each event per your work assignments.
  • Before doors open, check the Zamboni and the ice for any deficiencies or problems.
  • Supervise the performance of the ice crew for all events. Ensure that the crew is in place and have the necessary tools to complete their assignments.
  • Ensure that proper safety precautions are used by yourself and the ice crew.
  • make sure that all daily, weekly and monthly checks are made on the Zamboni and that proper records are kept per the Zamboni manual.
  • Before the startup of each season, review all training films and manuals concerning Zamboni operations, signing off on all safety regulations.
  • Inspect your assigned areas of responsibility for cleanliness after each event.
  • Assist Operations personnel in cleaning up after events.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Zamboni diving, as well as its features and maintenance. Knowledge of various technical areas including carpentry, painting and cleaning. Technical knowledge of various tools and equipment needed to perform tasks in these areas. Previous experience in a similar facility environment and/or a technical degree in ice making preferred.

  • Ability to access all areas of the Facility
  • Ability to perform physical labor and endure cold temperatures
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and Holidays
  • Ability to operate Zamboni and Ice Edger
