Description

The Medical Technologist, MLS or MLT is primarily responsible for performing laboratory tests in the laboratory section where assigned. Required to perform clerical and technical functions for the section.

PRN, as needed. Variable shifts including some weekends and holidays.

Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist requirements:
Bachelors Degree - MT/MLS
1 year Microbiology experience or one year hospital lab experience REQUIRED
MT/MLS certification required within one year - American Society of Clinical Pathologists(ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT), or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist

Medical Laboratory Technician requirements:
Associates Degree - MLT
Microbiology experience preferred
1 year of experience as a generalist in a hospital laboratory including blood bank
MLT (ASCP) certification required, or eligible within one year (ASCP or AMT)

MLT Range is $19.21 to $28.84

MLS Range is $23.34 to $35.01

- Has received training, know and meets all job relevant standards related to OSHA, Fire, Safety and Utilities, Security, Emergency Preparedness, etc. Complies with all safety policies using proper tools in order to provide a safe work environment. Wears ID Badge at all times. When lifting heavy items always use proper lifting techniques. Addresses Employee/Patient incidents promptly, identifies and mitigates risks, follows Hand Hygiene guidelines, medication reconciliation (if applicable), and ventilator use (if applicable) all in accordance with KSB policies.
