Therapist - SAC Program

NEW PROGRAM - STABILIZATGION AND ASSESSMENT CENTER: Jonathan"'s Place is seeking a Therapist in our Stabilization and Assessment Center (SAC) Program. The Therapist will provide therapeutic and treatment services to children/youth with intense behavioral and emotional issues. This position will collaborate with the entire treatment team to provide trauma-informed mental health services, counseling, and assessments to youth requiring future treatment and services recommendations. SAC Therapist is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed. Develop individualized treatment plans, safety plans, and behavior intervention plans. Complete individual assessments, write reports, and communicate with families, program staff, treatment team, cps, and other supports. Identify and provide trauma-informed treatment modalities and interventions that address the needs of youth. Offer support to direct care and program staff in meeting the needs of residents, such as de-escalation strategies, therapeutic skills training, and crisis intervention. Research and maintain connections with community resources for clients who need additional support and services. Complete and maintain written and electronic documentation. Provide representation for clients in court hearings if necessary. Collaborate with the treatment team to address the individualized needs of youth in the program. Meet designated benchmarks and quality measures. Demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Keep the supervisor informed of all job-related tasks, activities, and challenges.Attend all job-related training. Attend administrative meetings and training as directed. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Master"'s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology Licensed at the minimum as an LMSW or LPC-AAt least one year of experience working with trauma survivors and facilitating group training Previous experience and counseling experience with children and youth with behavioral and emotional issues. Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and autism Knowledge and use of a conceptual framework for child and adolescent development, emotional and behavior problems, parenting, crisis intervention, and various treatment modalities. Knowledge of various theories, principles, and concepts for therapeutic practice with individuals, children, and families, trauma-based training, and well-developed diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
