We offer comprehensive treatments for skin cancer, general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and aesthetic services.Our team has an immediate need for a Histology Transcriptionist looking for a career in Dermatology. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and able to multi-task. Our team members provide support with filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, registration, and patient referrals by performing the following duties:RESPONSIBILITIES* Transcribe dictation from providers promptly.* Transcribe data from medical documents into specific templates promptly.* Checks transcription for accuracy of medical terminology, patient data, and spelling before the release of medical notes, letters, etc* Assists the Derm Lab with Data Entry (Accessioning)* Collecting Specimens from provider Pods* Coverslipping* Answering phones and filing* other duties as assignedWe offer competitive salaries and benefits:* Medical, Dental, and Vision available after 30 days of hire* Short-term disability and life insurance, and many ancillary options.* 401k available after 90 days of hire* Excellent growth and advancement opportunitiesPOSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK* Full-Time* Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5 pmLOCATION - MariettaQUALIFICATIONSEducation - This position requires completion of at least a High School Degree or equivalent, with added coursework in Medical Terminology or Certification in Medical TranscriptionExperience - 2 years of related work experience; medical transcription preferredCommunication - Excellent oral and written communication skillsWork Style - Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed.
