UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a UI/Design Specialist for a hybrid position in Albany, NY. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 days onsite in Albany, NY and be able to travel.

Candidates must be able to pass a Mandatory ITS Security Agreements and Fingerprint-based Background Check and sign an NDA.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human-computer interaction or design related field.

  • Two or more years working as a User Experience Specialist. Additional years of experience may substitute for a non-design-related degree.

  • Experience with User Research, User Modeling, and Usability Testing.

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

  • Consult with stakeholders to understand business goals.

  • Plan and conduct User Research and explain user research results to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop user models and scenarios.

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, and screen flows.

  • Create and iterate prototypes.

  • Conduct Usability Testing and analyze user feedback and activity and iterate to improve the user experience.

  • Assist with content development.
